Tom Osterhaus - Pastor
Tom grew up in a Christian home in Arlington, Virginia. He graduated from Moody Bible Institute, Trinity College, and Wheaton Graduate School of Theology. In 1965 he married Judy, his high school sweetheart, and they served the Lord in Peru as missionaries with the Evangelical Alliance Mission. Upon returning to the States he taught Spanish and Bible in Christian high schools, and served both as a deacon and ruling elder in PCA churches in Miami until becoming a pastor in 1984. He has served churches in Charlotte, North Carolina and Bristol, Tennessee, before coming to Maryland in 1995 where he has served ever since. Judy and he have four children and 15 grandchildren.
Chris Donnelly - Assistant Pastor

Chris grew up just west of Binghamton in the Southern Tier of New York state. After graduating from the University of Tennessee with a B.S. in Business Administration, he joined the accounting department of Valmet Paper machinery in Charlotte, NC. In ten years, he rose from staff cost accountant to division controller. After the closing of the Charlotte manufacturing facility in January 2002, Chris attended Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte where he received his Master of Divinity. Kathy and Chris have been married since 1992 and have four children, Meredith, Zachary, Grace, and Emily. Chris has been at Valley since June of 2007.
Kirk Crawford - Director Youth Ministries
Kirk is a Presbyterian minister’s son who was raised in Canada and the Western United States. He majored in Bible and Pastoral studies at Clearwater Christian College, where he dated and married Deneka. After graduating in 2001, he moved to Baltimore and taught at two local Christian Schools. While taking some time away from teaching, he received a Master of Divinity in 2006 from Biblical Seminary. Deneka and he are blessed with three beautiful girls: Julia, Kelly, and Liel.
Mary Ruth Bisset - Music Ministry
Mary Ruth was born and raised in Southern California and met her husband Tom when she came with a group of students to River Valley Ranch for the summer. She attended Biola college and finished her teaching degree at Towson University after she was married. She and Tom had two children, Jon and Christina, and spent their summers working at RVR. During this time Mary Ruth received a music degree from Towson University and taught music at Pleasant Plains Elementary for several years. For the past ten years Mary Ruth has been involved in the music at Valley Presbyterian, first as an organist and now as music coordinator with Ken and Cindy Pierce. She and Tom live in Lutherville and have four grandchildren, Anna, Aidan, Evelyn and Amelia.
Cindy Pierce - Choral Director
Cindy is a Peabody Conservatory graduate. After a musical break of many years, various members of Valley encouraged her to "dust off" the instruments and she has been pleased to assist her husband, Ken, and Mary Ruth Bisset in various aspects of the musical offerings since 2002. Most of the attention has centered around the Valley Presbyterian Choir.
Ken Pierce - Choral Director
Ken is a Peabody Conservatory graduate. After a musical break of many years, various members of Valley encouraged him to "dust off" his instruments and he has been pleased to assist his wife, Cindy, and Mary Ruth Bisset in various aspects of the musical offerings since 2002. Most of the attention has centered around the Valley Presbyterian Choir.
Roxine Luinenburg - Administrative Coordinator
Roxine was raised in a midwestern family with deep roots in Christian education and reformed theology. In 1993 her husband, Larry, was transferred to Baltimore, Maryland and they joined Valley PCA in 1994. Desiring to work in a church setting, she became editor of the church newsletter in 1998. In 1999 she began fulltime service as an Administrative Assistant and in 2000 became the Administrative Coordinator. Roxine and Larry have two children: Bruce (and Becky) Luinenburg and Kristi (and Brett) Elzinga and four grandchildren: Ross & Ellie Luinenburg and Jacob & Trent Elzinga. She enjoys garden club membership, singing in the choir, providing hospitality, and phone conversations with her children and grandchildren.
Jackie Henley - Assistant Coordinator/ Finance Coordinator
A member of Valley since its Mount Washington days, Jackie started on staff on a part-time basis in 1995, serving as Finance Coordinator. In 2000 her additional duties as Coordinator’s Assistant brought her up to full-time status. She enjoys singing in the choir and serving on the WIC Council.
Jackie and her husband, Ken, have three grown children and reside in Baltimore County.
Sandy Smith - Custodian/Caretaker
Sandy was born and grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. She attended Covenant College where she was volleyball captain 3 years and received the Scholar-Athlete award her senior year, graduating with a Business Administration major and Bible minor. She worked at Covenant Seminary as the Business Secretary before marrying Brookes (whom she met at college) in 1984. Sandy and Brookes lived and worked in Yellowstone Nat’l Park for three years before coming back to Baltimore in 1986. Sandy worked as a secretary for a financial lending institution until 1989 when she started a family. Sandy and Brookes have 4 children: Brookes, Laura, Karen and Logan. Sandy enjoys sports, camping, travel, being with her family, reading, and being outside!
